# About this research site

> Why Wellness Clinics America exists — Wellness Clinics America is a personal research site about overlapping organ outcomes in semaglutide trials, with no clinic or business and no medical advice.

The heart appears inside a kidney outcome. In liver tissue, improvement in one feature comes with a condition about another. The boundaries interest me.

## Wellness and organ boundaries

Wellness Clinics America is the title of this website, a personal exploration of published research. Wellness suggests an interest in the whole body; the semaglutide reports give that broad word some unexpectedly entangled particulars. A kidney composite includes cardiovascular death. A liver endpoint asks for improvement without worsening a different tissue feature. The places where a tidy organ account becomes difficult absorb my curiosity.

The plural Clinics belongs to the name, not to a network of practices. There is no clinic or other business here, no prescribing or medicine orders, no shipping and no appointments. These pages cannot supply medical advice or decide a treatment for anyone.

The geographic word gives the project its scale of curiosity. It supplies no evidence about local care, a national population or the availability of any treatment. The reach of a clinical outcome interests me, including the consequences that spill beyond the organ in a heading.

## Consequences beyond the organ heading

A favourable average can be impressive. I enjoy discovering a result substantial enough to justify the excitement. The findings outside the organ named by the trial deserve the same curiosity. The [cardiovascular trial in type 2 diabetes](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27633186/) is a particularly consequential example: a beneficial cardiovascular finding sits alongside more diabetic-retinopathy complications. A person’s interests can be larger than the organ named in a headline.

An account spacious enough for both would satisfy me more. The same curiosity draws me to a [small alcohol use disorder trial](/alcohol), where the question is unusually concrete, and to [liver tissue](/liver), where an improvement carries a condition about another tissue feature.

The overlap between organ outcomes fascinates me, but it cannot turn separate trials into a record of everything happening within the same person. Each diagnosis and trial boundary still applies. This site explores those clinical connections through published work, with all the limits that a personal research site entails. It cannot turn those papers into an assessment of somebody’s own health.

Wellness Clinics America is my research reading room, where published research gets a closer look at its participants; this is not a clinic or a business, and none of it is medical advice.
